I am proud to introduce the newest members of the Tri State Julys team!! Below and left to right are: Allysa, Eric, Madisen and Tracy Lange. They are posing their fine July hound "Miley", better known as "My-My". After observing this family for the past couple of years, Team Tri State felt that the Lange family would be a very valuable addition to our team. They work hard, are upbeat, and never quit. Team Tri State is lucky to have them accept our invitation to join the team. Please welcome them at the upcoming hunts. A good team has just became better! Look out Walker Nation, we are hard at work to outrun you!

The original "Team Tri State".

Team Member and our precious granddaughter, Skyylah!

Success is the net result of hard work and preparation
crossing paths with opportunity. Unlike many other hobbies
men choose to pursue, you will never buy your way to the
top in the running hound game!
Team Tri State made its' debut at Todd Sutton's pen in Fayette MO. on August 23rd, 2008. I want to thank all the members for their contribution to the team. We all worked hard to make this debut a success. That includes the July hounds in the picture. Left to right are Mouse, Josey, Wylie & Stripe. This team effort netted us all four hounds in the top 5. These were first, third, fourth and fifth. We are very satisfied with that good fortune. We've only just begun and will suffer many setbacks along the way. I can tell you for certain though that we will not rest on our laurels. Win or lose, Team Tri State has the character and determination to succeed. We sincerely hope to meet and compete with each of you in the running hound world. We promise to be good sports and will take our defeats graciously. That doesn't mean we don't want to win. We all have a great desire to win, but an even greater desire to compete fairly and make friends along the way. As hound people, we have enough against our sport. Let's all be careful not to destroy ourselves. Thanks for viewing this page!

WYLIE
We are pleased to introduce Wylie, Team Tri State's first place winner of our debut at Todd Sutton's pen. Wylie will give her all to please you. She is a real nice gyp that runs her game with desire and speed. She scored 1185 points in this her first ever "on the road" field trial. The second place hound scored 740 points. This was a powerful performance from a hound that had never been hauled. This is not her first win however. Wylie has won in her home field where she received her elementary education. That institution of learning is of course, "Ginger's Ridge". I believe we are justifiably proud of her and her record in the field.
A little more about Tri State Julys:
Team Tri State is geared to raise one day, Speed & Drive Julys and outside running hounds that can catch their game. We will strive to raise athletic hounds that have desire, speed and nose. These hounds must be track hounds that are not consistently running roads in an effort to ambush crossings. Don't get us wrong, if our hounds are "out", we want them trying hard to get back in front. When they get back to the front, they must have the ability to run the game right. We will strive hard to produce hounds like this. We have nothing against 3 day hounds or hunters. That is just not our game. If you like the kind of hounds we have described, and are in need of the same, give us a call. Conversely, if you have this type of July hound and need to sell it, call. We will make arrangements to run with the hound. If it suits us, we will try to buy it. We are not kennel blind to anyone else's Julys and are always looking to improve.

Little Man
Tri State Julys is proud to introduce Little Man. Little Man just placed 4th at
Todd Sutton's Iron Dog, 8 hour hunt. Little Man finished very strong, running
hard against a predominantly Walker dog field of entries. If you are looking
for a July hound to add some "tough" to your hounds, without sacrificing front
end speed, this could be you stud. Bring your best or borrow your buddies
brag dog and put Little Man to the test, here on the Ridge. He is not retired!
We recently mated him for the first time. His pups will be in next years puppy
hunts. Pictured are Margaret Gordee and our granddaughter Skyylah showing
Little Man.
Update: Little Man just placed 16th amongst a field of 150 + @ the July National held in The Big Valley Pen. This was a hard hunt, in a rugged 640 acre terrain. There is no quit in this hound.
Update: Little Man wins the 2009 Ginger's Ridge Night Hunt!
Wylie, 2008 Ginger's Ridge Series Speed and Drive Champion!

Wylie has just won Jr. Baldwin's all age $100.00 money hunt.
Congratulations to Eli and Kayla! Wylie will be entered in the upcoming derby hunt on the Ridge.
Wylie just keeps on winning! Wylie just won the Ginger's Ridge Derby hunt!
Team Tri-State members win 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th & 11th at the 2009 Ginger's Ridge Nite Hunt.
Wanda, owned by Baily & Tracy Queckboerner @ 12 months old. Wanda
has a First, Second, Fourth & Fifth under her belt. She is quick, game and
full of desire. Handles the best, not a shy hair on her body. If she stays
injury free, she has a bright future ahead in Tri State Julys trial schedule!

Team Tri State members Eli and Kayla just took 1st & 2nd in the 2009 Ginger's Ridge Big Dog hunt! Both pups were shy of 11 months old by one day. They are by Gordee's 'Ol Dan and T.Q.'s Honey. See the events page for a picture of these fine young gyps.
Team Tri State recently attended the Aug., 2009 pup hunt at Snover, MI. This was a well ran hunt in a good running pen. Thanks to Gary and all for having us. This was our first hunt with our new recruits. A Pockets pup stepped up her game and pulled out a win for Team Tri State. Team Tri State placed 5 in the top 10. There were some hard running pups at this hunt. We feel proud of our hounds for the job they did. Thanks again MI. for the hospitality and meal.
Team Tri State attended the Aug. 12 and 29 pup hunt at Todd Sutton's pen. We had 4 November born pups in the top 10. There were 53 pups entered. No victory, but a decent showing. All four pups were from the same litter and out of Gordee's 'Ol Dan. Check Dan out on the July page. He is a solid track dog with a good mouth. He is throwing some nice pups with a lot of stamina and easy handling.
Team Tri State was present for the September pup hunt @ Todd Sutton's Run N EZ pen. A Pockect's pup pulled off a solid second place finish with 4 'Ol Dan pups and one Little Man pup in the top 10.
Team Tri State was at Harper's for the money and pup hunts. We got ours handed to us in that open pen. Congratulations to the winners and a special congratulations to July man, Brian Lamey, for winning the pup hunt there along with 3rd and 15th. Brian also took home some money in the All Age.
Team Tri State won 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, & 10th @ Todd Sutton's October pup hunt. Jazz missed 1st place by 20 points. Four of these pups were by Gordee's 'Ol Dan X T.Q.'s Honey, the other by T.Q.'s Pockets.
Team Tri State entered 4 pups in the Flint Ridge Pup hunt on Oct. 25th. The pups all made the top 10 - placing 1st (Diamond 1390 points), 4th (Celtic 1175 points), 6th (Punkin 1020 points), 7th (Jazz 840 points). The 10th place hound scored 300 points at this hunt. Diamond was on top of her game today! This was a dominating performance by the 4 Dan X Honey pups! With the exception of Harper's hunt, this years crop of pups at Tri State Julys has been extremely competitive.
Team Tri State entered 3 pups in the WW Pup Hunt on Nov. 15th. All pups were in the top ten with Diamond winning, Jazz & Celtic placing. These are all Gordee's 'Ol Dan X T.Q.'s Honey pups. In 6 pup hunts this fall, Team Tri State has won 3, placed a close second in two, and had 25 pups in the top 10. This does not include any hunts held @ Ginger's Ridge. If you puppy hunt, you may want to consider our studs and brood gyps.
We had a great 2009 season. Like they say though, "the best never rest". As the snow and ice begins to melt, so too, are we beginning to exercise our new recruits. We have parts of 6 litters that should compete before 2010 comes to an end. I will keep you all informed as to the success of our new crop of recruits. As with all litters of pups, hope springs eternal. We are keen with anticipation to begin the competition. Good luck to all of our fellow competitors. We want to win, but our team is committed to treat our competitors fairly & honestly and admire your good hounds. Let the games begin!
